Korean men’s style is distinct. A typical guy wears a button up shirt with shorts. For shoes we noticed many wearing the shower sandals and socks look. Hipster glasses and square backpacks are a must to complete the outfit. Overall, Korean men tend to combine comfort and style.

On the other hand, Korean women opt out of comfortable clothes with their must have high heels. They are always dressed to impress even on a sweltering hot summer day. Women around Seoul are often seen wearing loose fitted tops, whether that be a simple tee or a button up chiffon blouse. Paired with those are form-fitting shorts and pencil skirts. To accessorize women wear girly headbands or hair clips decorated with bows. We would characterize Korean women’s fashion as simple with a hint of cuteness.

If there’s one style that defines Korea, it’s the couple outfits. While most couples match t shirts or socks, some couples, like the ones we found, take the trend to a whole new level and match their entire outfits. Couple outfits are meant to show a couples affection or love for each other. For foreigners this look is seen as either tacky or cute. What do you think?
